ePrivacy Directive

Effective Date: June 8th, 2022

The ePrivacy Directive is an EU legislation that came into effect in 2002 (and was amended in 2009) and regulates how you are allowed to use cookies on your website and process personal data from visitors inside the EU. The ePD is often known as the Cookie Law because it was the first legislation to regulate the use of cookies and tracking. It was the first law that required websites to obtain consent from users when using cookies to track individuals in the EU.

Incendium uses first party cookies and at this stage does not provide a consent management system itself, however this is in the works. This means that in order to use Incendium in an ePD compliant manner, the Incendium cookie simply needs to be included in your current consent management system and the cookie details need to be provided to users.
