Audience Deep Dive

Explore the composition and performance of one audience in detail.

Updated 9 August 2026

Investigate one Audience without comparison noise

Audience Deep Dive is for examining a single saved Audience over a selected date range. Use it when the question is about the composition and behaviour of one commercially important group; use Audience Comparison when the decision depends on relative performance between groups.

Load the report

Select a Lead Audience

The report requires an Audience saved under Settings → Audiences → Audiences. An empty selector or report usually means no group has been selected or created.

Choose the date range

Use a period that contains enough qualifying activity and reflects when the current Audience definition was in use.

Review membership before interpretation

Open the Audience rule if the result looks surprising. Membership may depend on activity that occurred before or during the report period.

Interpret the deep dive carefully

A behavioural Audience is not a fixed survey panel. Leads can enter as qualifying activity is processed, and changes to Traits, Locations, Channels, Conversions or the Audience rule can change who qualifies. Record the definition and date context when sharing an analysis.

Use the deep dive to identify patterns worth acting on, then verify important findings with the User Dashboard, a broader comparison or a controlled test. This keeps useful first-party detail from being mistaken for causal proof.
