Connect Google Ads

Connect Google Ads so campaign cost and performance data can be analysed.

Updated 9 August 2026

Why connect Google Ads

The connection imports advertising account and cost data so spend can be analysed beside Incendium sessions, conversions, revenue and attribution. This avoids judging Google in one reporting model and every other channel in another.

Google’s own conversion reporting remains important for bidding. Incendium adds a platform-independent view of contribution and customer behaviour, making it easier to distinguish efficient media from media that simply receives the final click.

Connect the account

Open Google Ads

Go to Settings → Connections → Integrations and choose the Google Ads connection.

Authenticate

Sign in with a Google account that can access the required advertising account or manager account.

Select the intended account

Choose the account that serves the project’s campaigns. Do not connect a manager or sibling account merely because it is available.

Wait for cost data

Allow the initial synchronisation to complete, then open a date range with known spend.

Verify the connection

  • The integration card remains connected after authentication.
  • Spend appears for a recent period with active campaigns.
  • Currency and project time zone explain any day-boundary differences.
  • Campaign names and identifiers match the intended account.
  • Tracked Google Ads visits are classified under the expected paid channel.
