Build a dashboard
Combine related charts into a useful multi-tab reporting view.
Updated 9 August 2026Build around a recurring decision
From Report > Manage Reports, choose Create New Report to open the report builder. Start with the audience and decision: an executive weekly view, a paid-media review and a product investigation need different levels of detail.
The builder provides chart and statistic-card widgets. Drag the required widget onto the report canvas, then select the reusable chart or metric it should display. Build the underlying chart first when the library does not yet contain the right definition.
Use tabs to separate questions
Reports can contain multiple tabs. Give each tab one clear purpose and keep the progression predictable—for example Overview, Acquisition and Product Detail. Tabs are most useful when the audience and date context are shared; create a separate report when the owner or decision is different.
Surface a small number of headline measures that orient the reader before deeper analysis.
Show trends, breakdowns, maps or tables created in Chart Builder.
Place related evidence together so the report reads as a sequence rather than a wall of disconnected charts.
Use Edit Mode intentionally
Edit Mode controls whether the report is being arranged or viewed. Keep it enabled while adding and positioning widgets, then review the report as a reader would. Confirm that the most important evidence appears first and that every chart has enough context to be interpreted.
- Use the report date selector to test more than one period.
- Avoid placing differently scoped charts beside one another without explaining the distinction.
- Prefer a small, coherent view over duplicating every available metric.
- Check that permanent chart filters match the report's purpose.
Export, schedule and share
The report toolbar includes Export, Schedule Report and Share. Export supports one-off analysis outside the interface; scheduling supports a recurring distribution; sharing provides access to the live report. Check the current date range, comparison and permissions before distributing a result.
A live Incendium report keeps the underlying metrics, dimensions and attribution logic together. Where practical, share that governed view instead of rebuilding the result in a separate spreadsheet.
